This past week we visited our friends at Brooklyn College Community Partnership for their year end Art Festival event. It was a good time had all around. Four of the guys from the Brownsville Anti-violence Projects Young Adult Entrepreneurship Program that we have been working with made the journey to see the great makerspace Deputy Director, Steve Ausbury; Site Director, Nixon Merdidieu; and the team there have put together—equipped with a computer lab, sound booth, art gallery, and communal lounge areas. The festival included art work produced by the young people over the year, film screenings, live musical performances, and dance. The guys were also able to check out the gem of a college campus in the heart of Brooklyn.
